Cookie statement
Which cookies pldgr.io uses — and which only load once you say yes.
The short version
pldgr.io is a marketing website that collects as little data as possible.
Statistics cookies are on from the moment you arrive. They count anonymously how many people visit the site and which pages they read. That is allowed without asking you first — why, is set out below under Statistics. You can still switch them off.
Marketing cookies are off until you say yes. As long as you have not made a choice, or if you choose “necessary only”, we load no advertising scripts and no data about your visit reaches LinkedIn.
For completeness: Google Tag Manager itself does load. That is the very thing holding everything else back — it sets no cookies, does not measure your visit, and passes nothing on until you consent.
We ask for your consent through the cookie banner. You can change that choice at any time.
Which cookies we place
Necessary — always on
| Cookie | Set by | Retention | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
pldgr_consent | pldgr.io itself | 6 months | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner. |
pldgr_demo_lead | pldgr.io itself | 30 days | Remembers that you already requested a demo, so a later visit takes you straight to the calendar instead of the form again. Holds a timestamp and nothing else. |
These are stored in your browser (pldgr_demo_lead in local storage) and are required in order to respect your choice and your progress respectively, so they need no consent. They hold nothing but that choice or a timestamp — no identifier, no profile.
Statistics — on, and allowed without consent
Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It shows us how many people visit the site and which pages they read, so we can improve it.
Why we do not ask your consent for this. Article 11.7a(3) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act exempts cookies that measure the quality or effectiveness of a service and have little or no effect on your privacy. We meet the conditions that come with it:
- we use the data for this site only, to improve it;
- we do not combine it with other data about you;
- we do not share it with Google for Google’s own purposes — Google Signals is off, and sharing data with Google’s products and services is off;
- there is a data processing agreement with Google, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
The exemption removes the consent, not the transparency — which is why it is written here. If you would rather not, switch it off: the button at the foot of this page, or “necessary only” in the banner.
| Cookie | Retention |
|---|---|
_ga | 13 months |
_ga_<id> | 13 months |
Processor: Google Ireland Limited. Transfers to the United States take place under the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We retain statistics data for 14 months.
Marketing — only with your consent
The LinkedIn Insight Tag. It lets us measure which ads lead to a demo request or an enquiry.
| Cookie | Retention |
|---|---|
bcookie, lidc, li_sugr | up to 12 months |
UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory | up to 30 days |
pldgr_attr (local storage, set by pldgr.io itself) | 90 days |
pldgr_attr remembers which ad or campaign brought you to the site, so we can link a demo request to the right campaign. We only store it if you consented to marketing; without that consent we do not keep it.
Party: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. For ad measurement, LinkedIn and Us Media B.V. are joint controllers.
Only when you use them
Booking a demo? You first fill in a short form (email address and organisation), and then the Google Calendar widget loads in a panel on the page. That widget loads at the moment you open the demo planner — not when you visit the site. Google may then place its own cookies, which are needed to display the calendar. See Google’s privacy policy for more information.
Changing your choice
You can withdraw or adjust your consent at any time. It is exactly as easy as giving it:
If you withdraw consent, we stop loading the scripts concerned immediately. Cookies already placed by Google or LinkedIn can be removed through your browser settings.
