Privacy statement

How pldgr (a product of Us Media B.V.) handles your personal data on pldgr.io.

1. Who we are

pldgr is a product of Us Media B.V., registered at Danzigerkade 63b, 1013 AP Amsterdam, in the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 34229234. We are the controller for the personal data collected through this website (pldgr.io).

2. What data we collect

pldgr.io is a marketing website. We only process the personal data you provide yourself:

2.1 Demo requests

Requesting a demo takes two steps. In the first step we ask for your email address and your organisation’s name. In the second you pick a time slot, which runs through Google Calendar Appointments — your name, email address and the chosen slot are stored in Google Calendar. Both are processed in our CRM system (Pipedrive) in order to follow up on your request.

So that we can see which campaign or page led to a demo request, we also keep a technical record of your request. Your email address is stored there only in encrypted form (as an irreversible hash), and your organisation’s name is not stored in it at all. That record exists solely to link your request to the appointment you later book, and is deleted automatically after 180 days.

2.2 The enquiry form

When you contact us through the “ask a question” form, we process your email address and the content of your message. That data is delivered to us by email through our transactional email service (Brevo) and used solely to answer your question.

2.3 Server logs

Our web server keeps — as every web server does — a technical log of the requests it receives: which page was requested, the time, the referring page, your browser and your IP address. We use this to count how many people reach the site and through which channel, and to investigate faults and abuse.

No consent is needed for this: nothing is placed on or read from your device, so article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act does not apply. The processing rests on our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in knowing whether the site works and is being reached. We keep these logs for at most 30 days and do not use them to profile you or recognise you on a later visit.

2.4 Website statistics and ad measurement

Statistics. Google Analytics 4 processes data about your visit: which pages you view, how long you stay, which source you arrived from, and general technical data such as your browser, device type and an approximate region derived from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address.

We do not ask your consent for this beforehand. Article 11.7a(3) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act exempts measurement of the quality or effectiveness of a service where the effect on your privacy is little or none. We use this data for this site only, do not combine it with other data, and do not share it with Google for Google’s own purposes: Google Signals is off, and sharing data with Google’s products and services is off. You can still switch statistics off through the cookie banner or the button in our Cookie statement.

Ad measurement. The LinkedIn Insight Tag loads only if you consent through the cookie banner. If you do not, that script does not load and this data is not collected.

What you type into the enquiry form — your email address and your message — is never passed to Google or LinkedIn.

3. What we use your data for

We process personal data solely for the following purposes:

  • Processing and following up on demo requests (basis: performance of a contract, art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Answering questions you submit through the contact form (basis: legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Counting visits from our server logs (basis: legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Measuring website usage (basis: legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — we want to know whether the site works, and the measurement is kept narrow for that; the exemption in art. 11.7a(3) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act covers placing the cookie).
  • Measuring the results of our advertising (basis: consent, art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

4. Cookies

pldgr.io loads statistics cookies as soon as you arrive, under the exemption described above; you can switch them off. Advertising scripts load only after you explicitly consent through the cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode v2, in which every advertising signal defaults to denied. You can change your choice at any time. See our Cookie statement for the full list of cookies, parties and retention periods.

5. Who we share data with

We share personal data with the following parties, solely for the purposes described above:

  • Google Ireland Limited — Google Calendar (demo appointments), Google Cloud/Firebase (hosting, the server logs described in 2.3 and storage of the technical record described in 2.1, in an EU data centre), Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (website statistics, without prior consent under the exemption described in 2.4). Transfers to the United States take place under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company — the LinkedIn Insight Tag for ad measurement, only after your consent. Only after your consent for marketing cookies, LinkedIn additionally receives an encrypted (hashed) representation of your email address when you request a demo, so we can measure which ad led to that request. LinkedIn never receives your email address in readable form. For this measurement, LinkedIn and Us Media B.V. are joint controllers; LinkedIn does not act as a processor on our behalf here.
  • Pipedrive OÜ — CRM system for managing demo requests and sales follow-up. Pipedrive is established in the EU (Estonia) and processes data as a processor on behalf of Us Media B.V.
  • Brevo — transactional email for delivering messages from the enquiry form. Processing takes place within the EU.

We never sell personal data to third parties.

6. Retention periods

  • Demo requests and enquiries — Contact details are kept for as long as needed to follow up on the request and maintain the business relationship, up to a maximum of 2 years after the last contact.
  • Technical record of a demo request — 180 days. This record serves a different purpose from the CRM file above (linking a request to an appointment only) and therefore has a shorter term.
  • Server logs — At most 30 days.
  • Website statistics — Data in Google Analytics 4 is retained for 14 months.
  • Your cookie choice — The pldgr_consent cookie is valid for 6 months, after which we ask again.

7. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You can exercise these rights by emailing sales@pldgr.io. We respond to your request within 30 days.

If you have consented to statistics or marketing cookies, you may withdraw that consent at any time — exactly as easily as you gave it, through the “cookie preferences” button at the bottom of every page or through our Cookie statement. Withdrawal does not affect processing that has already taken place.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access. The website uses an encrypted connection (TLS/HTTPS). All infrastructure runs within the European Union.

9. Changes

We may amend this privacy statement from time to time. The most current version is always available on this page. We will clearly note substantial changes on the website.
